ANPR and deceit

Horwich Farrelly, Keoghs and DAC Beachcroft are all now identified as solicitors instructed by insurers that are either seeking to re-open closed claims or to oppose current claims using ANPR data obtained by the Cotswold Group.

The scheme has been widely publicised by DAC Beachcroft on their website and an explanation of their strategy appears at:

A formal complaint has been made to the ICO as to the use to which this data is being put and updates will be provided when received. It would be helpful if members would notify me of any cases where these issues are raised in order that we can supplement the evidence already supplied to the ICO.
